In a year that has seen an increase in the number of beneficiaries helped by the Society, we can also note happily that we have again welcomed over 100 new members to the Society thus bringing our membership to its highest ever number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We have been aided by the arrival of two new members of staff, Kevin Lennon and Hannah McDonald, who have been able to assist with this increase in activity. Kevin has been working with the Grants Team, to ensure an even quicker response rate to the rising numbers of applicants and Hannah has been working with our Head of Membership and Communications, Mark Brierley, and our Head of Development, James Hobson, to assist in their ever-increasing workload.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Strategy Days took place on 8 and 9 July when we were able to review our Strategic Plan 2023 &#8211; 2026 in a timely way and set out the new Strategic Plan developed over the last year by Charlotte Penton-Smith, James Hobson and the staff team. These days are very important to the RSM in bringing together Governors and staff to spend time in reviewing and re-charging the Society&#8217;s work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The RSM&#8217;s website gives full information on the many things that the RSM does. For anyone reading this post, if you are a professional musician or working in the music industry and have yet to join the Society, please consider becoming a member. Members are musicians who support musicians in need of help due to illness, accident, stress or anxiety.
