Caird Oboe Quartet

The Caird Oboe Quartet was founded in 2004 to explore the rich repertoire for oboe and string trio and has occasionally played with a guest violinist for oboe quintet repertoire. The Quartet has played at music societies and festivals in the UK and recorded one CD, An English Renaissance of English works for oboe and strings.
It should be noted that the George Caird Oboe Quartet (George Caird oboe, Paul Barritt violin, Robin Ireland viola (later Stephen Tees viola) and Josephine Horder cello was an earlier formation that performed widely between 1978 and 1992.
