The Munster Trust (www.munstertrust.org.uk) has completed another very successful year in which 364 musicians applied for support with 72 awards in voice, strings, piano, woodwind, brass, percussion, accordion, organ, composition and jazz being made in May and June.

This year we increased the number of grants awarded to composers in a new approach that is seeking to help composers to access advanced training and establish professional careers as we have with our vocal and instrumental awards.

The Munster Trust Recital Scheme has continued to flourish with eleven artists and one ensemble, Lumas Winds, performing at a wide range of venues nationwide. Information about the scheme can be found on the UK Artists Directory which the Trust has founded in collaboration with YCAT and involving Associate Artists and the Tillett Trust.

The Munster Trust gave awards and support totalling £300,000 in 2025 – 2026 and aims to continue to provide significant support to talented young musicians as they start their professional careers.
